Snee Farm | Mount Pleasant SC
Snee Farm is one Mount Pleasant’s older, more established communities with traditional and unique homes as well as some condos and town homes. Snee Farm is the name of the original farm once owned by Charles Pinckney, which preserves his legacy nearby at the Charles Pinckney Historic Site. Pinckney fought in the American Revolutionary War and became one of the principal framers of the United States Constitution. He served as Governor of South Carolina, and as a member of the United States Senateand the House of Representatives. He was also President Thomas Jefferson’s minister to Spain, after he helped Jefferson win the presidential campaign of 1800.
The golf course community offers a 18-hole championship course designed by George Cobb. There are 18 tennis courts including 8 clay and 10 hard surface courts which are lighted for evening play. (Also to note, Snee Farm has been named as an USTA Southern Section SC Outstanding USA League Tennis Facility.) There are also year round leagues and lessons available. In addition, Snee Farm also has three swimming pools.
